Day at the Fair

Michael and Dylan went to the Kentucky State Fair last Sunday and Michael experienced his first time on the fair rides. From these pictures, I'm not sure if he enjoyed himself because he was so serious :-)

St. Xavier Football!

It's football time again! Tonight is a scrimmage game and next Friday is the first real game of the season! Nacho chips, cheese and jalapeno peppers here I come!

Seriously, football has become a rite of the Fall season for me. Plus, hubby is happier.

It's Vacation Time!

I'm posting several pictures from our vacation to Destin, Florida last week. Of course, the week flew by as it always does. The beautiful white beaches and clear water of Destin were a change from the Atlantic ocean with it's murky water. The only downside was the presence of jellyfish which stung two in our party.
We did all of the usual things that you do on a beach vacation....swam, braved the beach, played volleyball (water and sand), ate food, shopped, jet-skied, went to movies, cooked, ate food, laughed and laughed (and did I mention consume much food and drink?). I think that I gained 2-3 extra pounds. Our night to cook was Monday and we made grilled chicken, Bob Barker's pasta salad (came right out of Rachel Ray's magazine), roasted squash/mushroom/onion veggies, cheese potatoes with bacon bits, and for dessert, four layer chocolate pudding, of course (my signature dessert...hope the group isn't getting tired of it :-)
