Tonight is the 66th annual St. Xavier - Trinity football game at U of L's Papa John Stadium. This game is attended by over 35,000 and is THE largest attended high school football game in the nation!Before I met my husband, I didn't give a hoot about this game, more less, football. I think that I went to one football game at PRP while I was there (and what I remembered most was the horrible bathrooms which had NO doors on the stalls).
But then Nick played, and in his senior year, St. X won the state championship (2004). I actually teared up before the game and cried afterward. We still go to most of the football games...it's a rite of Fall. Go St. Xavier!
