Christmas Tea and Mandisa

We attended SEC's Christmas Tea with Mandisa last Tuesday, had good food, fellowship and experienced the awesome voice of Mandisa! Pam, Traci and daughter, Courtney and I along with several thousand other ladies (and a few gentlemen) had a great time!

Dylan's Birthday

I'm finally posting pictures of Dylan's birthday, which was over a month ago, but better late than never! Both Dylan and Michael had a blast with predominately adult guests, and were the center of our attention. Dylan received many nice gifts from his friends and family and had fun (I think) getting covered with cake frosting. He had a nice bath at the end, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

"See Ya" and thanks for coming to my birthday party!

Could not help it......

Click on this link for the "left turn at Albuquerque." If it doesn't work, go to You Tube and type in Albuquerque bugs bunny. I'm not sure why Bugs' directional compass seemed to be founded in Albuquerque?? Does anyone know?

Albuquerque - Part II

It's taken me sooo long to post my Albuquerque pictures, but finally I took the time to do it. We LOVED our trip there! The men left for Las Vegas on Thursday (I have posted no pictures of their trip....you know, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas...) and we had 4 1/2 lovely days by ourselves. Janet and I talked, walked, ate wonderful food (soft tortillas, green chilies, green chili stew...drool...sopapillas, fry bread, enchiladas, tacos....Mexican food every day), and visited with Rob, Becky and family. We went to the movies, Albuquerque museum, Acoma Pueblo, Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, bookstores (of course), Old Town, restaurants, Yum! Did I mention that we talked, talked and talked? (What's stated in Albuquerque, stays in Albuquerque :-) This trip was a 10 and I loved it!

Grass does grow in Albuquerque if you tend to it.

Kind of a blurry picture, but the city of Albuquerque at night. Taken from Rob and Becky's side of town.
Sandia Mountains from the neighborhood streets.
Dawn in Albuquerque.

Ed and Janet's backyard.

Ed and Janet's house front view with a rock "feng shui" garden ;-)

Indian Pueblo Cultural Center at Albuquerque....the walk was long getting there :-) but the food was good.

Janet at Old Town.
Ed and Janet at Owl Cafe.
Owl Cafe - kind of a fifties diner. Good food.
Ourside of Owl Cafe.
Rio Grande River.
San Felipe de Neri Church in Old Town, Albuquerque.
Rob and Becky's lovely house on the other side of the Rio Grande in Albuquerque.

Trip to Albuquerque

Neighborhood park on our walk.

Arroyos (drainage ditch) in New Mexico....they have names.

Beautiful morning walk in Albuquerque.

Cool bushes, but I can't remember the name of them (above and below).

Janet on our morning walk.

Sandia Mountains from backyard (how would you like to wake up to that view?!)

View of backyard and Sandia Mountains from family room.

View of front yard outside our bedroom window.

Janet, Allison, and Becky at Rob and Becky's house.

Dawn on the dog walk behind Ed and Janet's backyard.

I love New Mexican graveyards. They are so simple.

"Illegal" picture of Acoma Pueblo on top of the mesa (1000 year old pueblo which is still inhabited).

Me in my Sam's Rock t-shirt with Laguna Pueblo behind me.

Janet, thanks for the wonderful visit!

Laguna Pueblo on the road to Acoma Pueblo

I'm not sure what this hill is...it's atypical when compared to the flat mesas.
